AWS Information Infrastructure Workshop (I2W) for Educators is a one-day workshop to help education and workforce leaders better understand the physical layer of cloud computing and our information economy, and the many different careers that are available. The goals of the workshop are to provide an overview of infrastructure careers and offerings, learn hands-on, and connect with industry experts and hiring managers.

No, AWS I2W is a professional development workshop offered at no cost.

Plan to arrive in the morning for a brief welcome followed by hands-on learning sessions simulating tasks performed by information infrastructure professionals. In the afternoon, network with hiring managers and industry experts; discuss career opportunities; and participate in breakout sessions with educators, employers, and workforce development participants. A light breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks are provided.

AWS I2W is an excellent opportunity to meet with educators and workforce development leaders who are focused on preparing students for careers in cloud infrastructure. As an employer, you’ll join for the second half of the day to participate in focused discussions about your workforce needs and potential curriculum improvements, while also building valuable connections with educational leaders in the region. We invite you to bring representatives who can speak to the requirements of entry-level roles and offer insights into your organization’s job demands.
