About the Program

The AWS Information Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship (I2PA) is a paid 4-week program delivering practical, hands-on training that prepares participants to enter careers that build, connect, power, and operate the infrastructure supporting the information economy. Industry experts cover vital workplace skills and foundational knowledge in electrical, mechanical, fiber-optic, and data center operations. Everything needed for instruction is included: protective gear, supplies, and a laptop computer.

Why You Should Attend

Upon completion, you will have earned several industry-required certificates, including AWS I2PA and OSHA 10. You will also have an opportunity to connect with local employers at an onsite job fair, featuring hiring managers and leaders from AWS and our strong network of industry partners and contractors looking for workers with these skills and credentials.

    Yes, hands-on training is an integral part of our pre-apprenticeship program. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their skills in real-world scenarios under the guidance of experienced instructors.

    Yes, field trips and site visits are incorporated into the pre-apprenticeship program to provide participants with valuable industry exposure and hands-on learning experiences.

    While transportation will be provided for field trips and site visits, daily transportation to the pre-apprenticeship program is not included.

    The pre-apprenticeship program is typically designed as a full-time commitment. Part-time attendance may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    Yes, individuals with prior experience may still benefit from the program’s structured curriculum, industry certifications, and networking opportunities.

    Completing our pre-apprenticeship program provides participants with essential skills, industry certifications, and networking opportunities, setting them on a path towards a successful career in the trades.
